Travel Plan

  • 01
Day 1: Travel to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park

Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, or after breakfast from
the hotel where you spent the previous night, the driver guide picks
you and start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
The journey goes through the breathtaking countryside landscape
of Rwanda, the land of a thousand hills. Cross to Uganda through
the Cyanika border post, giving you spectacular views of the
Virunga ranges. At the lodge, just check in, have dinner and
overnight as you prepare for the next big day.

  • 02
Day 2 : Gorilla trekking and travel back to Kigali

Today requires you to wake up very early for a heavy breakfast and
set to the park headquarters for a simple briefing from the local
park ranger. He takes you through the dos and don’ts while

trekking the gorillas. You will be divided into groups of eight
trekkers to visit a single gorilla family per day.
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park takes
you to the impenetrable forest on foot, hiking to different elevations,
vegetation zones and terrains just in search of the big apes in the
forest. Spend only one hour in the presence of the gorillas as you
take pictures and learn about their amazing behavior. After an
hour, slope back to the headquarters for a Certificate of
participation that shows that you are among the few lucky people
who have trekked the mighty gorillas in the forest.
Return to the lodge for lunch and then prepare for departure to
Kigali town. Arrival will be in the evening to either the lodge where
the guide picked you from or to the airport for your flight back home.
